Meric Basaran was born on May 25, 1945 in Istanbul. He is a theater, cinema and series actor. After taking 2 years of courses in Istanbul City Theaters, he stepped into a professional theater. He worked in Istanbul City Theater, Ortaoyuncular, LCC, Zeki Alasya - Metin Akpinar Theaters. He is a member of Contemporary Cinema Actors Association. Since 1962, he has started to take part in cinema and series films. At the same time, director Tunc Basaran's brother is Cem Karaca's ex -wife.
